Basically, I left my entire life back in Ohio. I left school, I left all my friends and I left my family to come to L.A. to pursue a dream. This blog was created to share my experiences with anyone who is interested. I wanted people to experience this with me. I moved to L.A. by myself, not knowing anyone out here or having any connections. This is going to be a wild ride!

I'll keep checking back -- are you good busy or just busy-busy?
A good friend sent me "Snoopy's Guide to the Writing Life" for my birthday, and there's a quote by Dominick Dunne that's wonderfully positive. He published his first book when he was over fifty and it was a total bomb. The New York Times review was absolutely savage.
And he told himself, "Listen, I'm fifty-three years old and I wrote a book and I got a book published by Simon and Schuster and by god it got reviewed in The New York Times!"
Love it, love it!
